Service Remarks: Walter Dowell Joyce enlisted into the United States Army at the age of 21 at Fort Lawton in Washington State. It was here he served in the garrison Quartermaster Corps. First assigned as the Quartermaster for the 304th Mechanical Repair Shop. Shortly after assigned as the same for the 392nd Mechanical Repair Shop before finally being assigned to the 392nd Service Park/Machine Truck Shop Unit.
